UXPA Mentorship 2026

Learning is a core thing for me.

I will always keep this as one of my dearest values, and because of that, this spring I joined the UXPA International Mentorship program as a mentee.

It's June, so it's time to wrap things up, below are the most important things I learned.

Your portfolio doesn't have to be perfect to go live. Launch it, refine it, keep improving. That process says something about how you grow.

That mindset led me to the UXPA Spring 2026 Mentorship Program. I wasn't sure what to expect. I just knew my portfolio needed more than my own eyes.

I was matched with Sayed Abdelaal‬‏, Lead UX Designer and UX Mentor. From the first session, it was clear this wasn't going to be surface-level. He came prepared, not with vague impressions, but with specific, actionable feedback on each case study.

One moment that stayed with me:

I had structured my case studies chronologically, thinking it showed my process. Sayed pointed out that hiring managers scan before they read. He helped me restructure around outcomes first, process second.

Small shift. Big difference. His feedback never left room for guesswork, always a "why" and a direction.
